I want to restore the Cronus database for the classic client (without SQL Server).
I am using Nav 2009 R2.
How shall I do that???
Run the fin.exe (Microsoft Dynamics 2009 R2 Classic).
Call “Database”,“New …” from the “File” menu.
Enter a file name, set the size to 500000 and click OK
Open the “Tools” menu, and select “Restore…”
Point to the database.fbk that was distributed with NAV originally (Original DVD - or search the file in the ISO file you might have).
Click OK and after the restore, you have a clean DB
Option 2:
Search the original “database.fdb” file on the original DVD and copy it to another place.
Run the fin.exe (Microsoft Dynamics 2009 R2 Classic).
Call “Database”,“Open …” from the “File” menu.
Point to the file you have just created at the target location and click “Open”.
