How to integrate GPS Device with D365 FO?

Dear all,

I want to integrate GPS device with D365 FO through integration?

Can anyone suggest the simplest way around? i.e which GPS device offers the API, and integrate with FO?

Any one did earlier?

There is no universal solution for any type of GPS devices and integration requirements. You’ll need to think more about what you want to do before you can start designing a technical solution.

For example, if you want to track cars, it’s not enough that you have a GPS device in the car.
The information obtained by GPS must somehow be transferred from the device, e.g. on-line over a wireless connection or manually downloaded once a month from the physical device. Having it once a month is completely fine for producing a log of company car usage, but it’s useless if you want to track something in real time.

As you see, knowing just that you want to integrate something isn’t useful; you need to understand what business problem you’re going to solve by the integration.
