How to import 5 out of 10 columns in Nav using XMLPORT?

Hi All,

I need to import 5 columns out of total 10 in my NAV table using XMLPORT but its giving ERROR?

Can It be possible to import only 5 columns without deleting rows from excel , we can skip rows but column is my first time experience.

Your early response is appreciated.

Use the first 5 columns as the fields from the spreadsheet and then add DUMMY1,DUMMY2, DUMMY3, DUMMY4,DUMMY4 and then you should be good to import the file.

Sorry what I meant was your XMLport fields will be something like this.
Field1 —>Write it to table.
Field2 ---->Write it to table
Field3 ---->Write it to table.
Field4 —>Write it to table
Field5 ---->write it to table.
Dummy1 —>Just to read from your spreadsheeet. Do not write it to table.
Dummy2—>Just to read from your spreadsheeet. Do not write it to table.
Dummy3—>Just to read from your spreadsheeet. Do not write it to table.
Dummy4—>Just to read from your spreadsheeet. Do not write it to table.
Dummy5—>Just to read from your spreadsheeet. Do not write it to table.

And as a little subnote to both of you. Did you know that by going to your profile, clicking on “Edit Profile”, then you can edit the Display Name of your profile. This way you can change what is shown to the other members, to show your real names. It’s much nicer to help and talk to other members who are not “anonymous” . [:)]
