How to change a security model in Navision?

Can anyone please explain to me how to change a Security Model in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0?

When you say “Security Model”, do you mean a Role? Or are you talking about changing the whole security structure in Navision?

If you’re talking about roles, you can access it by clicking on Tools → Security → Roles.

Hi Amudha

You can only change Security Model if you are using Navision 4.0 SP3.

Select File → Database → Alter. Select the Advanced page. Change the Model under the Security heading. Possible options Standard (=Security model before v4.0) or Enhanced (=Security model in 4.0, 4.0 SP1 and 4.0 SP2).
