how to add a G/L account

Now I need to add a new G/L account into G/L I create a new line in Chart of Account, and then setup the corresponded G/L account card. Is it OK? Or should I do something else? Would you explain it more clearly to me? Thanks

Hi, Yes it is OK.

Hi If you want thE posting groups to post to the account, or you want it to appear on any of the financial reports - VAT statement, account schedules etc, it will need to be added in to the appropriate place. But in essence as Rajesh said, it is OK [:D]

…By the way, don’t forget to Indent the Chart of Accounts once you have added the account…Chart of Accounts → Functions → Indent Chart of Accounts, so that the totals calculate correctly.
