how can i generate page numbers in a classic report

i have created a report i specified to generate page numbers like this strsubtno(document caption,copytext)> but pages numbers are not displayed in each report

Are you trying to generate page no as Page N of M or Just Page no ??

In sections you just create one label and textbox place it wher u want to display

in label which format you want type as normal text

in textbox properties → SourceExpr=CurrReport.PAGENO

try this once

and also check the visibility property of textbox
