How can i check whether the NAS is properly Running or not?

I have installed the Nav application services (NAS) in NAV 2009 then I don’t know how to check the running status of NAS.please guide me.

Hi Priggy,

That’s always been an issue when running the classic NAS, although NAV 2009 was much better than the previous versions. But there is no easy way to know if the NAS is hanging or not.

In a project I was on many years ago, we had a little function, which made a small request to the NAS, and if it didn’t respond, then we had another function, which restarted the NAS service. I was not the developer of this, and neither do I remember more of the details to how it was done. But maybe some of our other members have an idea?
