hiding columns for specific user role


is it possible in NAV to hide item cost column for salesperson. I cannot see anything related to it under permissions set.

Hi. Permission sets apply to tables not fields in tables. Best way to hide columns like that is by using something like User Setup and a new bespoke boolean field. Or create a new page as a copy of the old and assign to user’s role centre. Neil

It is possible to hide - yes.
But it somehow has to be done object by objext (page, report, …).

Item Cost is represented in several places: Item Card, Item List, Item Ledger Entries, Value Entries, various Sales Lines, Sales Statistics, Purchase Line, Reports - and most certain other places too.

So it may be a challenge to acheive this.
