Hi Amit,

Without knowing your exact situation, I was in a similar situation a couple of years ago. I called up Microsoft and they referred me to a partner they thought could fill my needs. Otherwise you could try to find an education partner in your region. If for some reason do not have success from either of those approaches, there are a couple of online educational companies as well. Hope this will help you.

Hi guys,

This is my first post so treat me gently!

I am in exactly the same position as Amit so maybe we could help each other out. I have started a new job where I need to know everything about NAV.

I have a CustomerSource login so I have access to the materials in there but I am interested to know if there are any third-party books, videos, etc. that you can recommend. I am happy to use paid sites like Lynda.com, too.

I guess the question is ‘with your knowledge of NAV, what would you be doing now if you were just starting out?’

Basically, I just want to learn as quickly as possible but I don’t have a bottomless pit of cash to invest.

There are lots of both 3rd party books and videos. Try to go to Youtube and search for NAV.

I took your advice and purchased the ‘Implementing Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009’ book by Packt. Fingers crossed it will be as helpful as it looks.

I’ve found the best way to learn is to make my way through the system pressing F1 whenever I come across something I don’t understand. Then I dig a bit deeper using the web. Sometimes, I hit the jackpot and there’s a YouTube video explaining all.

CustomerSource has proved to be useful without bring great - the good stuff is just too expensive.
