Does anyone know of the consequences of giving a item a lot No. and removing it latter. IE, A company wants to keep lot No. in one Location (Warehouse A) but remove them when transferred to another location (Warehouse B) So can you remove the Lot No. on transfer without problems in audit of that Item, IE previous Ledger entrys not adding up due to change of lot no.? I cant see a problem if you set the “Lot No.” the same as your Item Ledger “Lot No.” and use the “Applies to entry No” in your Transfer Journal and have a blank “New Lot No.”. I have a Customer who only Issues a “lot No.” at the Point of Sale, so we had to remark the “Lot No.” lines in the Item Post Line codeunit, then re code the Item Check Line to test the “Lot No.” for a Sale type Line.
