Suppose we have a small report. it contains only one header and one body, in that time we have to take two functions and easily call those functions. but in standard reports we have multiple headers and bodies. so how many functions we have to create, on which trigger we have to call those functions

Hello! Very much depends on version of Nav you are using. For Classic reports you can call the same global function to populate the excel buffer / automation from any Classic report section but just add a parameter pass to differ between sections and what data should be taken to the excel buffer.
I agree neil that depends on version of Nav.
