Dear Friends,
As we all know we can filter any report say Trial balance in GL by Global Dimensions which are the first two dimensions
Is it possible to filter by the 3rd Dimension.
What if we buy
Advanced Dimensions Granule ID 4780
We are using Navision 4.0.
Thanks in advance
thomphil
That is not correct – you will not have your 3rd dimension available in all reports.

I believe he is asking if he can run trial balance by 3rd dimension, and the answer is. In order to use 3rd dimension you need to purchase Advance Dimensions. Basic dimension come only with 2 global dimensions. With Advanced dimension you can assign analysis view to account schedule and use any 4 dimension and filter on them.
Right - if they purchase Advanced dimensions he will be able to use the 3rd dimension in account schedules.
However, he will not be able to use the 3rd dimension on the wide variety of reports that you may use the 2 global dimensions.
For just a trial balance, account schedules will suffice.
Dear Rashed,
Thanks for your reply.
Assume that we bought Advanced dimension, we can assign analysis views to Account Schedules and filter on 4 dimensions.
Still the normal Trial Balance report can be filtered on 2 global dimensions only.
Am I right?
Thanks and regards

Yes you are right, your Trial Balance report will still run based on GL Entry and GL Entry has only the two global dimensions.
Hi Rashid,
My customer has only Basic dimension. He was telling me as follows:
"We can assign analysis view to account schedule and use any 4 dimension (maximum 4) and filter on them.
This feature is giving us only the summary amounts of the transactions per project.
But this feature DOES NOT filter the detailed transactions from the 3rd dimensions onwards.
Can you please advise us the solution of our current filtering requirement."
Dear Rashed, do you think this will work.
Thanks and regards
