Currently upgrading to NAV2013 R2 and our partner/supplier is telling me that its difficult to remove general user access to the FinMan / GL menu.
Is this true?
If you setup the user permissions correctly for general users, they wont be able to do anything
beyond the permitted functions.

its an upgrade from a customised NAV5 … not sure its ever been correct.
You can open Navision 2013 R2 in configuration mode and then you can removed department menu for each profile. This will remove all menu access to user except Administrator.
Prior to that create profile according to department . If it is specific then create profile according to that user and assigned to that user.
