Generate the SerialId for creating the purchLine

Hi all,

While creating the purchline for the particular purchaseOrder .There was the SerialId field …what is the use of the field ?when the value of field is generated?

It is part of the tracking dimension, it is a serial number if activated. You can add it to the line or define it through the process of receipt. So question 1 - does the item need serial numbers?
