I’m about to move operations in a standard warehouse that have more than a year of transactions, to advanced WMS operations within the same warehouse. I would like advice or shared experiences on this.
Items are batch controlled, D365. What would be the best way to “move” inventory from the old warehouse to the new one? Transfer order? Inventory movement? The move is just a virtual movement as the goods are already there.
As items were no WMS items, we also need to use the functionality of setting them with the new storage group, reservation hierarchy and unit seq group.
