Fixed Asset Number duplication

Hi All,

I have a scenario where the fixed asset number is reused, when I created a new fixed asset with a different fixed asset group. So now I have 2 fixed assets with the same number.

Eg. Fixed asset group FG#1, Fixed Asset- FA#ABC, Fixed Asset Number- **A-**A00002.

Now when I created a new one, Fixed Asset Group FG#2, Fixed Asset- FA#XYZ, this new fixed asset is again created with the same fixed asset number which currently exists- **A-**A00002.

Could you please tell me what setup must have caused this? What can I do to restore the correct number sequence to correct this one?

Asset Id is unique. Look at the number sequence code on the asset groups their format might be same, you should be having different format (a prefix etc…)
