hi I am using Navision Finanacials 2.60. When i dispose an Asset, the book Value in the statistics window still shows the book value before disposal. My client says that this is wrong . The book value must be zero when an asset is disposed. Can any one help me how Navision handles this. Thanks Harikesh
I believe your client is right. At time of disposal, Navision posts a disposal acquisition entry which offsets the original acquisition cost and a positive depreciation entry offseting the total depreciation. You can see these in the ledger entries for the fixed asset. Unfortunately the statistics window does not show these. You can look on the second page and see that the asset has a disposal date, however. Since the information is there, I would assume that most of the printed reports are correct. Watm
