We have just installed the new version AX2012 CU7 R2, and I just noticed that the amount of asset acquisition transaction (AssetTrans.Amount) acquired through a purchase order includes the amount of VAT.
I have never encountered this problem in previous versions I worked; the amount of VAT should not be included in my country (France).
I can not find a setting for this.
Maybe you can help me?

I also experienced this after I installed Hotfix in AX environment. our current version is ax 2012 R2 but after the installation of hotfix which MS given to us. we are now facing this kind of issue. Have you solved this?

It was due to the calculation method of VAT: Line (It’s OK with Header and KO with line).
Microsoft provided us a fix (which is ok), I don’t know if it was private or not.
Now I work on SAP I can’t help you more.

This issue is happening if the item is of service type. If item is inventoriable, the FA trans table is getting the correct amount
