Hi All ,
Fixed Assest transfer ( Assest Movement )may happen from one location to other location or between Branches, Departments .

How to do this transactions in AX 2009 ?

Not sure but i think that FA transfer feature is not available in standard AX. There is FA location in FA setup which can be used to define location of FA and this location is not related to your inventory location.

Kumar is right. AX 2009 and even AX 2012 don`t have standard functionality that can be used to track the Movement of Fixed Assets between inventory locations.

The feature that exists and is called Fixed Asset Transfer is used for changing the Financial Dimensions of the assets. So basically if you define the Branches and Departments as financial dimensions you can use it for that manner [:)]

In AX 2009, you can try the Lending functionality. Open the Fixed asset records form, select some asset and from the menu on the right select Functions->Lending.

Can you tell me path of Fixed Assest transfer journal ?

Thanks to bring my notice about the new functionality in AX.

Hi,

As such there is no FA transfer journal. You can change the financial dimension on FA to reflect its current position.

The lending functionality is again not related to FA transfer. It is used when you lend FA to employee like laptop to a employee. You can record that records using lending.

You mean to say user need to change the dimension code manually in the FA master .

Either financial dimension or FA location whichever you are using.

When you change the dimension the depreciation proposal will take that dimesion and if you want the report for fixied asset location wise, you need to change the location.

So, change Dimension as well the location also for the fixed assets.
