Has anyone got a field renumbering tool to share ? tarek_demiati@ureach.com
Well for this tedious job we had to rename the fields in text files then re-import the entire thing, compile and fix a few screwed-up Calcformula and keys. If someone has renumbering tool to share please upload it in the NF tool section here, this will save a lot of frustrating hours to anyone who will have a field renumbering job in the future. tarek_demiati@ureach.com
Tarek was you was renaming rather than renumbering? you could have filtered @Job & dataported the fields Table record fields opened in anothe app then find and replace the text then import back in. You would still have had the same issues with the calcfields though. If not then the text output is the only way i know. Hi Dave, I did renumber the field ID … it would be nice if Navision A/S integrates a field renumbering tool to their Object renumbering tool set. tarek_demiati@ureach.com
To renumber a field start by exporting all related objects as text. Renumber the field and import the exported objects and compile them. All relations, code, flowfields etc. will be intact.

Tommy if calcfields use these fields the formula will not be updated like this! David Cox MindSource (UK) Limited Navision Solutions Partner Email: david@mindsource.co.uk Web: www.mindsource.co.uk
