I am attempting to create a Fax Interaction from Relationship Management but am getting the following error “Microsoft Mail Local Fax is not installed on your system”. The Fax Service is loaded on my machine (started), but the service stops when I attempt to create the interaction. Is there something that I haven’t done or am I looking in the wrong place.
Try making the Fax service as your default, might help.
The problem was permissions in Outlook. Apparently you need Admin rights in Outlook to be able to fax. There were some other setup requirements as well. This was found in a Technical Sales and Marketing Whitepaper. I am kind of surprised that it wasn’t in an implementation or user document.
