Exporting vendor table to Excel

Hi,

I’ve only been using Dynamics AX 4.0 for a few months, so I’m still getting to grips with it.

I seem to have endless trouble export data to Excel. Right now I need to export my vendor table (either all tabs or custom fields) to Excel to review the data.

I assumed the easiest way was to create a custom report and then use file>send>save to file>save as xls. However this just seems to dump the data into Excel in a way that it is impossible to arrange into columns.

I’m assuming there is a quicker and easier way to lift the data as a table into Excel. Any help would be much appreciated.

I dint work on AX4.0 but below may work as it works in all the other versions.

you can select all the records (Ctrl+a), then copy and open your excel then paste. Please correct me if I misunderstood your question.

Use Administration > Periodic > Data export/import > Excel spreadsheets > Template Wizard. It’s much more powerful than the other options.
