explain th functionality of Inventory parameters - Last Price History

Hi all,

Please explain me What is the aim and the purpose of the check mark “Last price history” on the tab “General” of the inventory and warehouse management parameters. What does this setting suppose to do?

As per technet technet.microsoft.com/…/aa587658.aspx it is supposed to maintain history of prices but this do not show where it maintains this inquiry. please do help me out to explore this.

It works when the latest cost price or latest purch price is enabled for an item/product.

This parameter decides, whether to keep the last price when creating a new/latest price. This process would set the costing type to Last price.

Look at the item price report, by choosing the costing type as Last price
