ERROR : Parent Namespace is empty

Hi, When i try to install AX 2009 client , my installation gets aborted saying " Parent Namespace is empty " in the log file… Can anybody suggest solution -Rajeshwari

Hi,

Usually these type of errors are due to access denied, firewall block etc. Please make sure this is not the case.

If issue still persists, please let us know how you are doing the installation, complete error log etc.

Best wishes,

Hi Harish, There are no firewall blocks/denial of access in my system.coz i’ve installed AX twice before i encountered this problem. but still i’m getting errors… Please help

Hi,

It is interesting to see this message - The Application Object Server port number must be four digits long.

What is the port that AOS is using? If you are using 5 digits, please try to change it to 4 digits.

Best wishes,

Hi Harish, I’m using 4 digit port only…but still not able to install the client in the machine. i’m posting the error file in the next post. Please help -Rajee

I had the same problem and resolved it by installing .NET 4 on the computer then installing the AX Client. Hope this solves your problem.
