Hi, I was wondering if anyone succesfully made an ER-Diagram of Navision. I got the complete table structure from Navision Attain in Visio, but it is a big mess cause there are so many relations. Are there any documents of the table structure, so I don’t have to struckle to make one myself?[?]
Hi, will an ER-diagram of the functional areas of navision be an help for you?
Basically it is like wanting to get a taxi ride from The airport to the hotel, so you go to mapquest and down lead a complete map of the United States, to make sure you are going in the correct direction. (In the end you spend $10,000 to print a map that may save you $5.00 on your cab fare). I agree with Michael, in principle it sounds great, but in reality it is a total waste of time, as it would be unusable.
I did it once, for a laugh, in SQL using the Maintain Relationships property. I had Enterprise Manager diagram it from the relationships and it was immense - took days to create, was uneditable and needed a micro-fiche reader to view the result. But diagraming a small sub-selection of tables of interest can be useful.

This is where you use impulse.
Michael, an ER-diagram of the functional areas of navision is indeed where we are looking for. Can you get me one? It will save us from reinventing the weel again.
