EDI

I’m looking for end users that do a lot of EDI with their customers. We distribute to retail and deal with companies like Target, K-mart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Linen’s N Things, etc. Just think it would be good to have some people to speak with when a major customer decides to make a big change. Like, has anyone heard that one of the above trading partners is going to start requiring Bills of Lading (trading documents) in approx 3 months?? Just a rumor at this point but I would like to have a few ears to chew on.

The folks at Lanham & Associates have quite a bit of experience with EDI. You might contact someone there for information. They are at www.lanhamassoc.com Dave Studebaker das@libertyforever.com Liberty Grove Software A Navision Services Partner

Actually, we have Lanham’s EDI package. However, since they work through NSC’s (resellers) they’re not at liberty to give out customers without the NSC’s approval. Which, they say, is very difficult - kind of like getting a reference for a pending sale.

Scott, In that case I might try some of the bigger NSCs or see if I can find out who does a lot of distribution application installations. Maybe Lanham & Assoc will point you that far - to some heavy distribution NSCs? Dave Studebaker das@libertyforever.com Liberty Grove Software A Navision Services Partner

Hi, Scott, we use Lanham’s package as well. I’ve only been using Navision and doing EDI for 5 months now, but I’d be willing to be let you know what I hear. We’re doing EDI with Wal-mart, Rite Aid, CVS, 3M, etc. For example, Rite Aid is demanding we do ASN’s, and until we upgrade to Attain and Dale’s new EDI module, we can’t accomodate them. Debbie
