Dynamics AX 4.0 alert e-mail template

Hi guys,

I’m sorry if this has been asked before, but I’ve tried and failed to find an answer to my question.

Is there any website / blog that has a list of variables I can use in the e-mail templates? (For example: %message%, %event%, %occurred% and so on).

Many thanks for your reply.

I was referring to AX’s standard E-mail Template that you can access by going to Basic module, then Setup → E-mail templates.

For instance, %message% in the template’s email body will be replaced with the message you set for the alert rule.
At the moment, we are using the tag %for% which returns the Employee ID. I was just wondering if there is another tag we can use so that the emails show employees’ names instead of their ID’s.
