Dynamic Forms

Hey All, In Navision is it possible to create Forms Dynamically. If “NO” then where the form comes from when we open the database or company.[xx(] I hope that is not stored in the database…may be in some file. If “Yes” then How???[:D] Thanks

Forms, as well as reports, table definitions, dataports and codeunits (i.e. libraries) are stored in the Navision database as so-called “application objects”. You can not create them dynamically as needed.

Michael, If I understand your question, you want to know where Navision stores the information about which form is considered the “Main Menu” (and therefore accessible from the top-right button or F12). That info is stored in the “User Setup”, Table 91. You can define the “Main Menu” form, on a per user basis. If there is no form assigned, the system will default to Form 330.

Nelson, You are close to my question. But you have missed two points. Before opening the Main Menu Form. We open the database and company which is actually a Form, isint.!! Where they get stored?? can we modify them??

Ah, now I got it! Those windows are stored in the executable code and are not accessible through C/SIDE. You can’t access or design them.
