To All, How do you do ‘drop shipment’ in Axapta. This means items ordered by custome goes directly from vendor to customer without passing to your inventory. Hope anyone can help. Regards, Marlon
Hi Marlon, The drop shipment in axapta still needs to increase your inventory because if not then you will not be able to invoice your customer because axapta will warn you that no items are available in your inventory. To do the drop shipment, Create purchase order from sales order form (using Functions->Create purchase order). In the Create purchase order window, give check mark to Transfer delivery address. And this will transfer the customer’s address to your PO delivery address. Hope this help!

hi Marlon, Check with your Client how the Inventory for such drop shipmet is treated, whether the Accounts are affected in this transactons , as the Item Cost price as per the priniciple selected will be computed. This needs special attention, check out with your client in detail, how do they record the transactions and then go for mapping, it is found that such things may be complex due to the clients way of handling. U need to analyze as per the requirement and as much as possible convice them to handle it through standard Axapta functionality, if possible. regards vaibhav
