I understand dimensions and dimension focuses:

1 I do not understand the difference between a dimension set and a dimension focus.

  1. I do not understand the impact of heirarchy and dimension set rules.

I attempted to create one and now my dimension view on the mandatory dimension options are grayed out and cannot be changed.

hi,

  1. For dimension set hierarchy is a set of dimension set combination that you wish to allow to post into the transaction/system.

  2. The dimension set rules is the area you wish to apply to for the allowable dimension combination.

all of the above will be active once you turn on the setting at GL parameter.
