Difference between 'reserve lot' and 'reserve line'

Can someone tell me the difference between the two functions ‘reserve lot’ and ‘reserve line’ in the InventOnhandReserve form. This form is called from sales line > inventory > reservation

Found the answer myself:

Reserve lot tries to reserve on all/different inventsum if needed.

Reserve line only reserves for the inventsum on which is your current focus.
