Deploying User Portal to Internet

Hi there, anyone had an experience deploying customized user portal to the internet before ? in Local Area Network, user portal is ok, with the configuration below : 1. Dashboard\factory_const.inc = http://192.168.1.242 2. Factory\dashboard_const.inc = http://192.168.1.242 3. all content links in xml.dwp i’ve set to http://navision-data.pusatsumber.gov.bn/.../somexml.xml the machine itself use ip 192.168.1.242 and the database use ip 192.168.1.246 everything is ok when i use user portal with ip address 192.168.1.242 but when i use the name-based host (navision-data.pusatsumber.gov.bn) internally or externally (outside the LAN), it always said that access is denied when i tried to add some data (e.g : sales order). but listing data is ok … (weird huh ?) I’ve tried this also : 1. Dashboard\factory_const.inc = http://navision-data.pusatsumber.gov.bn 2. Factory\dashboard_const.inc = http://navision-data.pusatsumber.gov.bn 3. all content links in xml.dwp i’ve set to http://navision-data.pusatsumber.gov.bn/.../somexml.xml and doesn’t work either does anyone here have some ideas ?

I am running into the same problem. I have one instance working, but a new install, is giving me the same problem as described by bayu. Read only works, update gives “access denied” or the error “the combination of user id and password entered is invalid.” Does anyone have a solution for this? I have UP6.60 installed on a Win2000Server with IE 5.0, and Navi 3.60. I have hotfixes 11, 15, and 21 installed. Thanks, Carmen
