Define nominal quantity on the product variant (Item dimensions combination) for CW items

Dear all:

Hope you are doing very well.

Is it applicable in AX2012 to define the nominal quantity for CW item on the product variant level , on the other hand ,is it a correct way to use the product varaint with CW items??
