database server connection problem

Hi

I have installed navision database server in my system using typical installation method. when i tried to run schemaXt.exe file to add a definition of a Microsoft Dynamics NAV service connection point to the Active Directory it shows the following error.

The system failed to retrieve the global catalog from active directory. This maybe caused by network problems,or it may be caused by a lack of active directory functionality on ur machine or on the network. Active directory functionality is not available

Please help me…

Did you followed the steps in the readme.txt from NAV Server installation directory?

Did you tried to start the service and access it from client?

There have been problems with SchemaXT for several releases now unfortunately, and it will no longer be available from 6.0 SP1 (therefore also the possibility to lookup a Native server name will be removed).
