Hi All,

It will be very appreciated if anyone could answer my question regarding the matter of inputting local currency to the Navision system.

My workplace is using Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1, version W1 6.00.

At the Administration > Currencies, there is a table for different countries currency.

My question is, for the local currency for e.g. HKD, is there a such need to enter the local currency 1.0 by monthly?

I am thinking if the local currency is going to remained unchanged every month, what is the purpose of entering it into the system by monthly? Would there be any other impact which i am not noticed of? I couldn’t find information regarding this matter as i guess the question is too simple for Navision Dynamic’s Help function?

Again, appreciate if anyone could confirm my thought or answer me if i am wrong. Thank you!

You need to setup your local currency in General Ledger Setup and it need not define in Currencies Table.

Hi, are you saying that i actually dont need to update the currencies Table every month once i have set up the local currency at the General Ledger set up? It will have no impact on any transactions?
