I’m at a NSC and we’re working on upgrading a customer from 2.01 distribution to 3.70. The Microsoft folks have told me that our best bet is to upgrade to 2.60 distribution, then 3.60, then 3.70. I’ve found the 3.10, 3.60, and 3.70 upgrade toolkits, but can find nothing of the sort for any flavor of 2.60. One of my co-workers told me I should try an ftp site, but he couldn’t think of the ftp site to go to, and I can’t find it either. Thanks for any direction to a possible ftp site or any other help. Hi Reeve, Direct from 2.01 to 3.70 is not possible. try to upgrade to 2.60 from there u can go for 3.6, 3.7. The FTP site is not working for the last 1yr.
I think you can find what you are looking for on the Partners FTP Site: ftp://ftp.greatplains.com/Navision/Archive/Navision/Upgrade%20Toolkits/ Note that you will need a User ID and Password which should be supplied by Microsoft.
In germany the product-CD contains the complete UpgradeToolkit → see folder “CD-root”\Upgtk\ The toolkit should cover the upgrade from 2.00, 2.01, 2.50, 2.60, … to 3.70.
That’s helpful Richard, they don’t do that in the NA Version. Although they release the Upgrade Kits so often that you would still have to download the latest version [}:)]. In this case, the kit he needs is from 2.01 AD to 2.60 AD…Then he can use the 2.60 AD to 3.60 (on the 3.60 Product CD)…Then he can use 3.60 to 3.70 (on the 3.70 Product CD). Matt, Remember that you don’t have to bring all of your customizations into each version, only the field changes.
Chris I am pretty sure that the 3.70 upgrade tool kit includes everythung to get you from 2.01 to 3.70.

To upgrade an Advanced Distribution database, first perform the upgrade to 3.60A using version 360A-01 of the Upgrade Toolkit, then upgrade from 3.60A to 3.70 using this version of the toolkit. From the first screen of the Upgrade Toolkit3.60-01 The Upgrade Toolkit, version 360A-01, contains the tools which must be used when upgrading to the North American version of Navision Attain 3.60.A, from the following previous US and Canadian versions: Navision Financials 2.00 - 2.60 Navision Manufacturing 2.60 Navision Advanced Distribution 2.60 Commerce Portal 2.60 - 2.65 Commerce Gateway 2.60 - 2.65 User Portal 2.60 - 2.65 Navision Attain 3.01 Navision Attain 3.10 Therefore I can only see this being done in three steps 2.01 to 2.60, 2.60 to 3.60, 3.60 to 3.70. I have only ever tried 2.60 to 3.70 and had to do it in the two steps (although the first step is only a partial upgrade).
