Consolidation - Department and Project

When we export from one company to the consolidation company on the same database selecting department and project analysis we get the analysis of figures but not the labels. when the export is from a separate database and again selecting department and project analysis, we get the analysis of figures then 0.0000 instead of department and project. At which point it fails when importing into the consolidated company because 0.0000 is not a recognised department and project Any ideas on how to solve this. Nikki Churchill Navision Support

What version of Navision are you working with? If you are working with V2.6 or earlier, there is a setup required in the Department and Project tables to explictly map the subsidiary Department and Project codes to the Consolidated Business Unit Department and Project codes. For more explanation, go to the Help on the Consolidation Code field in the Department table (or the similar field in the Project table). These fields are not visible until you do a “Show Column” for them. You also have to have set up the target Department and Project codes in the Consolidation company. There isn’t any function that automatically populates the Department and Project tables in the Consolidation company from the Subsidiary companies. Agreed, there’s no reason to feel stupid. Stupid is not knowing, knowing you don’t know, not asking and acting anyway. Dave Studebaker das@libertyforever.com Liberty Grove Software A Navision Services Partner
