Configuring Bar Code Reader to MS Navision 40 SP3

Hi!

i have a bar code reader and generator.how i can configure it to navision at GRN- Goods Receipt Note level in Inventory managment Module. In item cross refernce table we will give bar code type ref. sale number what we have on Bar code for a particular item but my question is how this external tool thrd party (bar code reader) will be compatiable to MS navision.

What Steps i have to follow.

Welcome to the Dynamics User Group !

There are different types of barcode reader - which type are you using?

If a wedge scan or scanner linked to a PC then this is just like a user typing in the code so all that is needed to to show the Cross-Reference No. field and scan into it (assume the barcode is setup)
