# Compression method on Blob fields

Hi,

Does anybody know if the compression method used by the “Compressed” property on Blob fields in any of the industry standard ones (.zip, .rar etc)? We access the info in the field through external tools, which work fine if we set the property to no, but would prefer to keep to it compressed for size reasons.
