component at location

Hi,

My environment is Nav 4. 0 Sp3 HF6.

This is a Manufacturin company . It has 3 production plants in different states. One database for 3 states.

Company has 3 locations that is Plant 1 , Plant 2 , Plant 3. Company will purchase Rawmaterial Location wise .In 3 production plants they produce finished products…

Then what is my component at location In Manufacturing setup ?

ANYTHING except blank, assuming you are not using SKUs

This will only affect Lot-for-Lot not including inventory.

However if you leave it BLANK and do not use SKUs the system does not know a “base” warehouse to start planning from.
