compatibility level in navision DB from SQL Server 2000(80) to SQL Server 2005 (90)

Hello,

we are moving navision from sql2000 to sql 2005 - using restore it.

and find out that the compatibility level is SQL SERVER 2000(80) in new SQL2005

Can we change the compatibility level in navision DB from SQL Server 2000(80) to SQL Server 2005 (90)?

is there any major effect?

We moved a database like this. From SQL 2000 (32 bit) to SQL 2005 (64 bit). We did a sql backup and restored to the new server. We then changed compatibility level from 80 to 90. The system is fairly high volume 50+ users and >100 GB. It has been been over a year and we have not had any problems.

Not counting the RAID controller failure. [:O]

But Log Shipping saved the day. [:)]

we don’t use Log shipping.
