Closing inventory periods with negative inventory

Hi,

We went live on Microsoft Dynamics NAV Classic in March of 2011. Since then inventory has never been closed. I am working in a recently refreshed test database and cannot close inventory for April of 2011 because we have about 60 items with negative inventory. Because we are audited by an external company every year we cannot go back and “fix” the negative inventory. Is there a way to force the inventory to show as closed?

You might need to pass Positive adjustment and write off the inventory but before that you need to find out which are those entries and why it is negative as if you pass positive adjustment your inventory valuation will be disturbed for that period /year.
