Change Value Model Fixed Asset Ax 2012 R2 Cu1

Hi All,

I would like to know about procedure to change value model in asset.

Scenario like this :

I create an Asset : INV-001, with data value model : Reduce Balance 12,5% with service life 16 years.

On 12/31/2013, I create journal acquisition on INV-001 with value 100.000 and journal depreciation with value 30.000

So, INV-001 has NBV 70.000.

After I create those transaction, apparently INV-001 has depreciation profile RB50% with service life 4 years, not RB12,5%

So, the question is, How do I want to change depreciation profile on INV-001 with RB50% with service life 4 years ?

HI Alwin,

You can create a new value model for the RB50% on this asset. Then use an asset journal or general journal to transfer remaining amounts or make corrections and post all amounts from the old to the new value model.
