Hi, after 2 years working in Navision 3.01 and having 2 Global Dimensions and 7 secondary Level we decided to change them - make 1 Global Seconday and 1 Secondary - Global. So State becomes seconday and Function becomes Global. When running the routine (General Ledger Set up/Dimensions/Functions/Change Global Dimensions) I keep getting error message: Overflow under type conversion of Code to Code. Value: ANALYSIS CHARGE OK The interesting part is that “ANALYSIS CHARGE” is a name of the General Journal Batch and I have no idea what it has to do with the Changing Global Dimensions. Before it was another Batch (also with a long name, I shorten the name and it appears no more in the error message) but still with less than 20 characters - max number allowed. Am I getting it wrong? I have quite a few long name batches and do not want to change them all. Please advise.
Its definitely a bug in the code, the issue is, … where? At a guess, I would say that someone has changed the length of the field “Journal Batch Name” in table 81. This we all know is a BIG no no! You need to get this reverted back to Code10! When Navision say “DON’T change the length of standard field”, there is a reason.
