Can we post the purchase invoice through AX 2009 EP?

Hello Everyone,

Whether the financial postings like AP Invoice / Packing slips can be posted through AX 2009 enterprise portal as a standard practice or those can be customized.

If customized then anyone can share the methodology for obtaing those functions in EP.

Hello Kishore,

There is a limited application functionality available in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Enterprise Portal as compared to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 rich client. You cannot post purchase order or sales order invoice in Enterprise Portal. You can only access the functionality like: Create, edit, and view sales orders, including totals and related invoices.

Hello Kishore,

You can customize the application functionality available in Enterprise Portal in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 like creation of a purchase order. But to what extent the customization can be done in Enterprise Portal in AX 2009 also has a limit. Suppose if you are thinking to customize the Enterprise Portal in AX 2009 to create any new functionality like invoice posting of a purchase order which is not available at present then you have to explore/analyze a lot about the technical feasibility of the customization with the existing application. Until you are aware of all the technical aspects and you are assured about the technical feasibility of such customization with the existing application you cannot think of doing such a customization. All this needs a lot of effort.
