We have recently updated a plugin for extracting data from Navision based on the ETL tool Pentaho Data Integration.
In the old, existing code for this plugin, there was a feature - but probably not working as expected, which allowed to merge table fields and to compare them.
After setting up a table linkup, selecting later on an other table, the user could compare the old fields with the new ones. But what should be the purpose for this feature? For me that seemed to be a kind of join, but that does not work at all. So I’M wonering, what should be the intention by the original developer in the beginning?!
Any ideas?
