C/Front newbie

I’m doing an implementation where there are two external companies are going to need to access and modify records in Navision tables (one uses the Web to shop for courier costs based on the size/weight of the shipment, etc.; the other is an EDI tool). I’ve decided on C/Front as the interface tool. I’ve never programmed in C. I’ve read through some of the discussions on the forum, and the sample files that come with Navision. I just want to know if there are any particularly dangerous pitfalls that I need to avoid. I’ll probably have more specifc questions next week, but for now… cheers,

Matt, the C/FRONT is not dependent on C or C++. You can use the libs in Visual Basic too, or Delphi or … Pitfalls? Probably nothing else than you cannot access any triggers or code from C/FRONT. So transferring data into temporary storage tables, before processing it could be a good idea… Soren Nielsen, moderator Integration/Developer NOLUG
