Hi. I am upgrading from 2.60 to 3.01(norwegain). When I use NDT to compare and merge I get some strange results. NDT is producing this: OBJECT Table 25 Vendor Ledger Entry { OBJECT-PROPERTIES { } PROPERTIES { Dato=24.07.01; Tidspunkt=12:00:00; Endret=Ja; Versjonsoversikt=NAVW13.01; LookupFormID=Form29; DrillDownFormID=Form29; CaptionML=[ENU=Vendor Ledger Entry; NOR=Leverand›rpost]; } The lines Dato(Date), tidspunkt(Time), endret(modified) and versjonsoversikt(version) should be in the section “OBJECT-PROPERTIES”. I have read somwhere on the forums here that this can happen if you use the wrong stx-file during import, but I am sure I have used the right one, a norwegian one in this case. Is there anybody that can help? I can manualy move the lines to the right place, but then I have to do that in all the objects and that would take forever. I have also read that a lot of you do not use the merge tool, only the compare tool. How do you “merge”? Are you comparing the differences in the old customer version with a standard Attain 3.01, and make all the modifications in a new standard 3.01 database? Do you then use all of the upgrade fobs that comes with the upgrade toolkit? Regards from Norway. Thomas Jensen System developer.
You should have a look for strange characters. For example : What is this character ? … NOR=Leverand…?..rpost… Louis
The strange characters is a representation of norwegain/danish special characters ->æøå. Is there a special way these should be represented? Thomas.
