I have entered a budget with a ledger 989898 and dimension combination as 103 Division and 10303 Cost Center with an amount of 10000. When I create a journal with the same ledger and dimension combination and enter the amount as 90000, it throws an error saying the budget is exceeding by 71000, however actually the budget is exceeding by 80000. Please help.
May be there is another budget added for the same account + dimensions combination?
what is the total budget is showing at the specified account +dimensions combination?
Go to your budget control statistics form under Budget> inquiries and see what is the total revised budget field is showing.
There is only one budget that i have entered. Also the ledger account and the dimensions that i have used to create the budget are created new to check the validations.
are you entering your transaction in accounting currency only?
