BOM not coming by default in Production order

Hi All

when i am creating the production order from the sales order line, in the BOM feild the BOM number is not coming automatically and for some it is coming automatically.

Can u tell me the reason for this.

Dear Imran,

Kindly check item number and Item type… I guess, you are creating production order which is not item type is BOM.

Set item type = BOM

thanks for ur reply but here i ahve a question, if the item type (production type) is not BOM can we create the production order for that, i guess no.

The Production type is BOM

In the Released products form, for the ítem which Production type in not BOM, you can have a planned production order created for him by master planning if you go to Manage inventory, Default order settings, Order type = Production
